Problems and Solutions in the Pharmaceutical Sector Were Discussed.

At the Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances, discussions were held on the pressing issues of the pharmaceutical sector within the framework of a meeting of entrepreneurs and scientists planned with the participation of the President.

🔺The meeting was chaired by a representative of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Heads of laboratories, leading scientists, and industry specialists participated, presenting their key proposals and initiatives.

🧪 The Tashkent Research Institute of Vaccines and Sera (TOSHVZITI) also put forward a number of proposals. In addition, the suggestions of the institute’s staff were heard and consolidated.

📌 During the discussions, the following priority areas were identified:

✅ introduction of special grant and investment mechanisms to bring scientific developments to the industrial stage;
✅ modernization of laboratory equipment and provision of high-precision technologies;
✅ simplification and acceleration of clinical trial organization processes;
✅ expansion of infrastructure in compliance with GMP, GLP, and GCP standards;
✅ development of import-substituting medicines based on local raw materials;
✅ support for young scientists, ensuring their academic sustainability and strengthening professional development programs;
✅ creation of mechanisms for commercialization of scientific results and enhancement of export potential.

🔘 At the conclusion of the discussions, specific proposals were put forward to strengthen the “science–education–industry” integration, improve financing mechanisms, optimize clinical and technological processes, and implement scientific results into practice.
